We need our own "Dan's Bake Sale"

Notice how all these hippies who never work or contribute anything to this country in any other way spend so much time rallying and trying to influence this government? We need to rally back, but why not raise money while we do it? We need to find a good town for it, and then have a huge national get-together where we have some sort of bake sale/gun show, and then we head out to all the ranges around the town and make a lot of noise :)

Wanna bet less people would be injured or killed at our event than just about any other event? Hell even major bicycle events usually have at least one fatality a year, we probably wouldn't even have one serious injury.

Indiana would be good. We need a state that most people can get to with their firearms without to much hassle. I'd go if you got something set up and a good commitment from people to show up.

Well if you do set something up make sure you pick a date that won't conflict with graduations, holidays etc. And make sure you bombard every pro gun website, organization and gun store every day for six months so that no one can say they didn't know about it.

If the rest of the country is like NY, everybody will have an excuse not to come.

I doubt gunowners really care enough to show up in large numbers.

Well, we've had local gun shows with 800+ attendance. If our local city can have an event that big, a national get-together can get at least a few thousand. We need to find a good, centralized location, and we need to find a town that has economic problems, because they will be more receptive to a huge event, needing the money...

Anyone else have any potential towns in the midwest where this would be possible?

Fine, I give up for now. It IS a good idea though. I mean look at how many rallies the stupid hippies are always having. I don't see why we can't have at least one of our own.
