Don't let your guard down on gun control bills yet. According to Rep. Chris Cox (a good guy), even though the house bill was voted down it still goes to a House/Senate conference committee and will return this summer. You can expect that the Senate will make it worse and Cox seems to think it will pass the second time around.

CALL YOUR REP!!!
 
Exactly, Sholling.. I've been trying to make that point in other threads....

The social segments of HR 1501 will most likely be mated with the gun control of SR 254 in conference... YUCK!

There is no winning in this situation. The best we could hope for is to not lose any more ground.

A win would be the repeal of any gun control legislation. I don't recall many of those.
