Bumble, even though I have been transforming rifles for 49 years, I shot those two ruminants on the left with a box stock, but made back in 1994 and used when I got it last year, 1885 Browning 7mmRM.
All I did to it was put a piece of Aluminium, as a spacer, under the front of the front scope base to level it. The Japanese in 1994 made a tapered octagon barrel drilled and tapped, and my Weaver base suffered a slope in 2014.
I try to build 3 new rifles every year and shoot a deer with the one that does best on paper targets. But I hit the house while felling a tree this year, and while doing carpentry, did not put enough time into rifles. My 2014 stuff got beat by a factory rifle. I had two 260 bolt guns I built that were not bucking the wind like the hot rod loaded 7mmRM.
