Just got thru watching Thunder...you know Wrestling ((kinda for those of us that like comics but can't handle the word balloons. ;) ))

Anyway....they had the 'Canadian World Champion' on...who always insists that the Canadian nat'l anthem is played before his match. So he stands up and says he had a change of heart about America after watching the DNC...says Gore is for Gun control, Social Reform and something else...says he's glad America is wanting to be like Canada...then he asked to play "Your new national anthem...." and how he was happy to have America become the 11th Canadian province...

Man...this brought the crows a-jeering! Was a laff-riot to watch and a definate push for Bush. :lol :lol :lol

The Rock (not TFL's The Rock ;)) and China of the other wrestling organization, WWF, were at the DNC and gave Gore a glowing endorcement. Supposedly they are featuring commercials during their wrestling broadcast try to get people out and vote. Presumably for Gore. :mad:

Gunslinger, you've got it backwards, the Rock spoke at the Republican convention, I watched it. In fact as they where showing the audience he had better seats that George Bush Sr.

And no I don't watch wrestling.

When I was in college in the 60's I used to go to the rehersals with some friends who wrestled in OKC, Ok. Sorta spoiled wrestling forever for me

Thanks for the correction Larry. I thought it was the DNC but admittedly my nerves were a little racked by the whole affair. :D

Well, you guys are both right - WWF's "The Rock" has been at both the Democratic and Republican national conventions. supposedly the WWF is pushing its fans to vote, but they're stressing that it's a non-partisan effort. I've heard their promos and it goes something like "we don't care who you vote for, just so long as you get out there and vote" or something to that effect. Supposedly they've signed up 20,000 new voters in the last two weeks.

And yes, I am a wrestling fan.
