Waterproofing Primers?

What is the best way to water proof the primer in reloads for inclement weather or is it even necessary? Thanks

I've used clear nail polish, though I got some strange looks from the girl behind the counter until I told her it was for waterproofing ammo. Then a look of comprehension came over her and she said that others had told her the same thing.

I also know others (not me) :D that use different colors of nail polish to differientate between loadings (i.e. for hunting loads brush 308 vs bean field 308 load, competition loadings, etc).

That's a good idea, I've used permanent ink markers to color code the primers when loading up a test series of shells to signify charge weights. The color goes when the primer is decapped.

Various shades are handy for color coding bullets with various grits for firelapping, also. - Doc

Of course you only use the manly shades like passionate pink right or bright purple or my favorite - hot lips red :)
