i was responding to the good thread on gun borrowers at the range, and i went into a off-thread rant. now i try to turn my rant into a positive discussion:
i've been watching old shooters introducing new shooters. (and i'm pretty new). i feel bad for a lot of newbies because the "oldbies" seem to have an agenda that is more important making the newbie a safe, happy shooter. i've seen many examples of this.
when you're introducing a new shooter, it's about them having a safe, good time. not what you think is cool/the minimum caliber/what will showcase your studliness, or your need to prove that "the .45 has no recoil".
how do you like to bring new shooters on board?
