Would you duck your head when driving by this house for the first time? I’ll bet this house in Oklahoma never gets broken into. The ultimate gun control.

I wonder if the mailman stands off to the side when opening the this mailbox to put mail in the “barrel.” Notice the deer cam strapped to the tree behind the mailbox. Think of the video they could get if they could set off some firecrackers when the mail box was opened. I wish I had a neighbor like this guy.

Not to be off topic, but would this happen to be the same guy that designed that .600 Nitro Express Revolver?

It is interesting but it is old and out of date. I am looking to get an all black polymer mail box complete with crimson trace flags and a tactical flashlight for checking the mail after dark

I wonder how he made it? Sheet metal? Thin plywood? Great handwork.

I hope I am safe to assume that its a "copy" of a S&W revolver. That being said, I cant remember it it's here or in the revolver forum...

But this finish looks better than the brushed finish on S&W current revolvers )

Very cool, and very impressive craftsmanship. However, to my way of thinking, this would seem to be a neon sign that just screams: "Attention burglars!! Wait until we're gone, and then c''mon in for some great guns you can steal!!" On the other hand, I do see a pretty good fence in the second photo, so maybe this guy has a fenced-in lawn and a few land sharks roaming behind it, along with a good alarm system. At least, I sure hope he does, for his sake. Me personally, I see no need to advertise.

Single Six,

Maybe they have some great guard dogs. I would not doubt he has a very good safe, maybe even a walk-in gun vault.

Heh, I'm thinking someone took a bat to his mailbox one too many times.

Between the deer cam and the Roscoe mailbox - "Get the message you punks!"

Nobody's robbing that house. Anybody daft enough to go to that extent is one tension screw away from being certifiable. And everyone knows it.

Single Six,

I skimmed your post and did not see your comment about the land sharks. It does not seem to be a farm, but he could still have some very protective dogs. Most farm dogs are very territorial and protective of the family members and the property.

Discern: We're on the same sheet of music. I've worked full-time LE for many years now, and I have yet to see a fence-enclosed house with dogs get burglarized. Not saying it's never happened; I just haven't seen it yet. No burglar wants to get discovered, shot, or chomped. Meanwhile, I personally would still refrain from advertising my firearms possession as this person with the admittedly cool mailbox has done. But, that's just me; to each their own, I guess.
