WASR-10 Fixing the Mag Well

I got my century arms WASR-10 back in October. I ordred a bunch of Tapco polymer mags. Tried inserting one and it simply wouldn't fit. Century Arms aparently did at bad job of opening it up. I had to sand down the magazine lips to get it in. Now I would like to fix the mag well by bringing it up to the correct dimensions. My delema is are the Tapco mags to big or my mag well to small. Does anyone have the proper dimensions for an WASR mag well?

Do normal steel AK mags work in the gun without issue?

I wouldnt mess with the mag well until I proved that it was an issue with "real" Combloc steel mags.

A lot of those polymer mags dont fit right, and anything with "Tapco" on it is usually suspect to me, unless I can prove otherwise.

I second this what AK103 said. I have one of those Century WASRs and have yet to find a steel combloc mag that won't work. You don't want to open it up and not be able to use steel mags anymore. Check this out for lots of good AK stuff http://www.warriortalk.com/. Have fun!

I wouldn't buy those after market AK-47 mags if they were $5...

cheap junk in my opinion...

Buy steel combloc mags...

Even ''junk'' steel mags are head over heals better than tapco or pro-mag mags....
