Took out my new kahr k-40 today,(I got an even better deal than i thought, paid $300.00 for a used, unfired besides factory test Matte-blk K-40 2 mags,allpaper work and warrenty card.) well I was in paridise at the range,after 42rds I was thinking to myself how sweet it shoots,accurate,smooth low recoil, LOVE IT, then on the 43rd round i feal something in my hand look down and its the mag release button,the set screw that holds it in place from the ejection side had broke,about halfway down the screw there is a small lip that turns into a notch on the mag button shaft and holds everthing in place. The gun is useless know,I e-mailed kahr,i'l see how fast they react and send me a new screw with-out a bunch of hassel.
I'm still thinking to myself WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??,has this happened to anyone else.
 
Pocketman...... Speaking from personal experience, I've dealt with Kahr's Customer Service a few times over the past couple of years, and received nothing but excellent service. However, they were rather slow in responding to my emails. I would highly suggest you give them a call to speed things up a bit. I'm sure they'll resolve your problem promptly. Enjoy!

Kahr is a good company and produce good quality guns. I think this just might be a lemon. I think Kahr will fix it for you and get it working correctly. I am told their c.s. departent is above average.
 
Sarge55 is right,your best bet is to call them. Really nice people to deal with and I personally feel more assured speaking to a human being. I believe you can reach them at 914-353-5996. :)

I agree with the advice given above. Call them. I had a problem with some night sights (kept drifting to the left) and the fixed them right up. Good folks and good guns. Jared
 
I can't seem to find my book anywhere. Do any of you guys have their phone number handy? I'm having problems with the sights drifting too.

Thanks, i followed up my E-mail with a call to them today,they were very helpful and said they would ship the mag catch pin out to me asap. (I also recieved a reply to my e-mail today.)
