I was reading the Hi-Power forum and noticed something that I thought should be re-posted here since many readers had discussed purchasing a Hi-Power lately.
At least three of the regulars there (including one in the business) are reporting that recent production Hi-Powers are coming from the factory with a 10 to 12lb SA trigger!
My guess is that the massively heavy trigger is some effort by Browning to reduce their legal exposure. In any case, plan on budgeting an extra $50 to $100 to have trigger work done if you purchase a Hi-Power made since 1998. Nobody has yet reported how much removing the mag safety helps with this.
Alternatively, just buy an older Hi-Power.
