Wanting to be a gunsmith...

Well, as the title says, i want to become a gunsmith. I'm 15 and going into the 10th grade, and i've always had a passion for guns. Now, i know in high school there arent any classes that are labeled "Gunsmithing", hell my school doesnt even have woodshop, workshop, or anything of that nature. I was wondering what classes would aid me in that area that i need to specifically focus on (In my train of thought, it would be things like physics, trigonometry, calculus, and math/science related stuff like that.) If anyone could point me in the right direction with this i would greatly appreciate it. Have a good day and God bless...

You already are pointed in the right direction. Trig and calculus I'm not so sure, but computer programing (CNC) and chemistry (metallurgy) would be useful... and perhaps business classes.

Get as much experience of machine work as you can.Milling machines,lathes and drills.Parts very often have to be made and fitted.

If you want to be a true professional gunsmith, the best way to get there is to attend a top gunsmithing school.
In an attendance school a master gunsmith/instructor will be looking over your shoulder and telling you that you're doing it right or wrong, and how to do it faster and better.

A degree from a top school is known and respected industry-wide and will get you an interview anywhere.

Here's the schools. The ones with the best reputation for turning out stone cold pros are Colorado School of Trades and Trinidad Junior College.
These schools take several years and aren't cheap.
Unlike internet and mail order "schools" if you don't have what it takes you will not make it through.
