Are there any good books/pamphlets/videos available that give information on the S&W 686? Or ones informative about revolvers in general ? I am a newbie looking to educate myself about revolver basics and the S&W 686. (my new purchase) Thanks.
The best book in existence is the Kuhnhausen S+W Revolver shop manual (Brownells carries it). It's worth 10X the price. It will tell you everything you need to know about a 686.
