want to refinish my 686 smith

I have a smith 686 plus and the gun is practically brand new.Ever since I got the gun I was very unhappy with the finish.It is brushed stainless and it has many imperfections.The cylinder looks almost like it has pit marks on it.Poor quality stainless?This was the last gun and I had to have it.You know the story.Anyway,I want get the gun bead blasted.I like that look better anyway.Who would you suggest I get to do this?Does S/W do this work.
 
My 686 is just as bad. I havn't seen a recent example of S&W's blued guns but I wonder if they do as terrible a job finishing them.

I believe Ace Custom will refinish S&W autos when they do their .45 Super conversion. Sorry I don't have the link.
 
Smith & Wesson will do it for approximately $185 on used stainless guns. But if you explain to them that the gun was purchased new with the unsatisfactory finish, they may do it for free under their lifetime warranty.
