Want to piss off VPC?

Well it dawned on me today that we have yet another situation where an Anti Gun site is using a well known firearm as a poster child to further it's cause. The VPC, which was recently hacked has this picture currently posted on it's site:
gun3.jpg

It is obvious that it is an H&K mark 23 pistol. Interestingly enough ALL Mark 23 pistols are manufactured with a keyed lockout system http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/ (since last year) So in the spirit of what we did to Beretta,posted here for you who are new to TFL since last September, Want to piss off HCI and Part 2 and in all fairness to Beretta, I believe that it is incumbant upon all of us to Fax and Write or Call H&K and ask them WTFO? Why should we purchase products that are being blatently displayed as Poster Children for the VPC? Isn't it a bit of a rub that H&K voluntarily put internal safety locks in it's Mark 23's only to have the VPC call it Unsafe in any hands?? You can write, call or Fax H&K at the following address:

...“ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.

Fax sent out. Copy of the receipt from my recent USP purchase with the letter.

I noticed it was backwards when I first saw it about a week ago. They flipped the negative when they made the picture. The markings on the slide are blurred out so your average joe can't figure out what kind of pistol it is. I tried to enhance it but couldn't.

Made the call just now. When you call the number listed by El Jefe, as for someone to talk to about legal affairs concerning H&K. You'll get transferred to the lady who is fielding these calls about the VPC site for H&K.

She said that their lawyers were actively working on the situation, and that H&K sincerely appreciates our vigilance.

Even so, keep calling in/faxing to show the volume of our support.

The letter I faxed yesterday:

{To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to inform you of how dismayed I was when I spotted what is undoubtedly a H&K pistol being used on the VPC.org website as part of an anti-gun message. I am not sure what possessed your company to agree to allow them to use your product's likeness to communicate such a message, but no doubt gun owners across the United States will soon realize that you have pulled a Smith & Wesson trick.

I highly recommend you take the measures necessary to disassociate yourselves from this anti-freedom group as soon as possible. H&K pistols are renowned for high craftsmanship and it would be a shame for that reputation to vanish in a blink.

Sincerely,}

...maybe the part about *&* was a low blow but I suppose it might wake somebody up.
