want to make Rook Rifle

I have a NEF handi rifle in 22 hornet, 223 and 28 ga.. Wanted to turn it into the prefect small game, walking around rifle it weights less 5 lb and its great fun to shoot. I wanted to get a barrel in .32 long but H&R doesn't make one in .32 and they will not sell you a blank. Question: could I have one made from an extra hornet barrel and if so who could do it.

A rook styled rifle is not that hard with a decent machine shop

the design was brought in as a stop gap between muzzle loaders and cartridge rifles

the bottom of the chamber slides to the rear acting as the ejector the Fireing pin/breechblock seal when lifted engages this lower split chamber and moves it to the rear

however you'd want to ensure your machining is pretty accurate and i would not use a high powered round but for .22LR or .22 WMR or even .32 RF or .35 RF they are a nice simple action thats reasonably fast to reload

i've made a couple here in the past from old busted junk and been very happy with the results but my workshop is geared up for this and it is my major part of income here ( rifle repairs and mods)

however being in Australia i'm a bit far away from you but john taylors link in the other post is a good place to start

good luck

cheers
