I have a birthday coming up. It being sweet16 I figured I would ask for another shotty. I like everything about benelli's except the price I was looking at a stoeger model 2000 with the benelli system. i want this gun to replace my old winchester model 1200. Any advice or tips against this gun. (friend has a stoeger condor and it seems to be alright)
Thank you in advance Skeetin'870

Benelli shotguns are as good as they get, well made and totally reliable. The only thing about them I do not like a lot is the higher felt recoil they put out. I have a shooting buddy that uses one and the one thing I noticed was that he would simply smash birds in skeet. We patterned his choke tubes and it looks like his seem to have more constriction than the markings would indicate. The IC is more like a mod amd the mod is very much like a full. Other than those 2 points we noticed, I doubt you could go wrong with a Benelli. Good guns!!!

I just bought an M1S90 Field about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I've had my 870 for 7 years now and I thought it was time for a new shotgun. As for recoil, I am used to a pump so it seems a lot less to me. I do, however, not have any experience with gas operated semi-autos to compare recoil to. Recoil has never really been a problem for me though. To date, I have only put about 150 rounds through it and I have had no feed issues whatsoever. I also really like how easy it is to maintain. Overall, I think it is a great gun and have no regrets after two weeks......good luck in making your purchase.

beretta? almost the same as a benelli but IMO they have cleaner lines and are a better looking gun. i think the benelli's look really big and boxey. some say the beretta shoots better too, i am one of them.

Well that is nice but I ahve shot multiple beretta o/u's and I didnt much care for them not enough drop at comb. I just wanted tips on the stoeger. I dont think that benlli's have that much more recoil. I use a pump and I cant tell any difference in recoil between a O/U, a pump, or a semi-auto gas or inertia.
And the two benelli's i have fired, neither had comfortech. But i just want tips from any one who has used the stoeger or any advice on a different gun. Charles Daly maybe?
