want comments on Stoeger 3000 24"

Am considering an entry level 3-gun semi-shotgun and the Stoeger 3000 has popped up on radar. Interested to hear from anybody that has experience with these guns, especially with dove type loads as used in our local outlaw matches.

Have considered others (Moss 930 and a used 1100), but the 3000 has caught my interest and I know but little about them.

Yeah, we see a lot of both. Key word here is "entry level". We are looking for a price. Yeah, ya get what ya pay for, I know.....but there are rumors of this gun being a sleeper.

Oddly, we can't find a used 1100, locally anyhow..at all.
 
Save up and buy a good gun, it will be worth it. I bought a cz 712, which has pretty decent reviews, and it has developed a problem with the gas piston. Luckily CZ is sending a new one for free, but still, this wouldn't have happened if I had just saved up for another month and bought a franchi or benelli.
 
Looking for a lower priced Sem-auto shotgun?

Check out the Weatherby SA-08 and the Beretta A 400 Outlander.

I have an Outlander and a buddy has the Weatherby. Both have performed flawlessly through several hundred rounds.

For used 1100's I suggest checking out GB or Arms List.
