Wanna feel sumpin good on a 1911?

I have a right hand smaller than left. Strangely, I am right handed. Usually dominant hand is larger.
I also had some Pachmayr grips for my 1911 and kept swapping the wood ones back.
Suddenly I got the bright idea of taking off the Pachmayrs and cutting that center section out. Feels GREAT.
Very reminiscent of a Hi-Power feel. Anyhow, it feels good to me.
 
I'm right handed but my left hand is larger. I was a natural lefty until age 5 or 6. My parents forced me to use my right hand. Their reason, "lefties write ugly."

Now it has me all screwed up because I'm left eye dominant. Best cure was to learn to shoot with both hands. I shoot with both eyes open except for bullseye.
 
I did exactly the same thing with my Pachmayr grips on my Norinco 1911...It felt so much better, that I bought a set of Hogue rubber panel grips with the slight palm swell...same thing as the cut-up Pachy's, only better.<g>
 
I've got a Hogue handall on my USP, but I don't like the palmswell. It changes the grip in an awkward way. The grip still feels more comfortable than the textured tupperware, but I was thinking about taking an exacto knife and shaving off the swell, but didn't want to screw up the grip. Any suggestions?
