thank you

Muzzletalk,

I've never heard of a PT22. Perhaps you mean the P22? If so, they still aren't in the U.S. yet. There are only 2 of them and their both at the BATF going through the approval process. They should be out soon. I've got a P22 "first edition" reserved, so hopefully the BATF will get off their hinnies and get it approved.
From all accounts it shoudl be a great gun.

Practicing trigger control, sight picture, introducing handguns to a new shooter, cheap, fun plinking. Cheap practice with a gun that is close to size and weight of the one that many here carry daily.

And it's the only .22 caliber being manufactured or imported by Walther

RAE,

I had ordered it through B&T Shooting Supplies, the one in Middleburg Heights. Final cost with tax was $342.39. ($320 price on the FE) IIRC, Rich quoted $320 for the First Edition, $270 or $280 for the 5 incher, $240 or $250 for the 3 incher. Not sure if any price increases have occurred since then (04/13/01).

Dealers here in AZ are talking about a price in the $300-$500 range, and that is just for the stripped down model. I talked to several this weekend, and they pretty much told me the same thing!!! Herr Mittelmann, and his mark up!!!!
