Does anyone know if Smith and Wesson is manufacturing the Walther P99 under liscence or have purchased the design, because I just saw a picture of a gun that had Smith and Wesson markings on it and it was the Walther P99. Also, I keep hearing about the Smith and Wesson P99 or something of that sort.
 
It is called the SW99. Frames are manufactured in Ulm by Walther and shipped to S&W on frames and barrels made by them.

I call it a bastard stepchild and don't want anything to do with it.
