Walther P99........ Question ???

Is their any truth that Walther is planning a compact version of the P99 series .. I have a P99..QA and love it.
I would like a more compact package for CCW.

I have the P99 (QA version) as well. I love it as well.

It is the perfect house gun for me. I added AGrip to mine (the HK USP pattern) for an even better feel.
 
There has been talk, talk, and more talk about this Compact P99. I learned that a 2002 introduction date was likely...but don't hold your breath. It took me two years to get a Walther threaded barrel for my P99.
 
A compact version? Something along the lines of the G26/27/33?

To tell the truth, I find that the P99 is fairly compact to begin with. My P99 (QPQ .40S&W) melts into my frame (6' 205lbs) and I have no problems concealing it with an OWB holster.

I guess it would be cool for a compact, but I'd sooner see a .357 Sig version first.
