I am looking to move from a 1911 to a double action to reduce the possibility of an AD due to a light trigger. Although I have been shooting it for years and put about 5000 rounds a year through it, I am concerned that if the SHTF, I might not be as careful as I would like with a hair trigger.
The question is, is the Quick action with its short 8 pound pull enough to satisfy my need or should I go with the full double action 990? The benefit of the QA is that being a shorter pull, It would be easier to shoot.
What do you folks think?
