Walther P99 not for sale in Mass???

I just picked up my new Walther P99 and I noticed a sticker on the box that says the gun has not met the Massachusets laws and is not for sale in Massachusets. I am not in Mass, but I am curious if anyone knows why the P99 cannot be sold in Mass???

However, he supports LEO use of unsafe sidearms.


Let's see......it has a polymer frame, yes?

It doesn't have a special, hidden serial number?

Can it pass a drop test? Does it have a chamber indicator?


Oh no! It's unsafe!

Is that a good enough answer, or do you want something more comprehensive?
