Walther P99 German made?

How can you tell if a Walther P99 is made in Germany?

The presence of the "eagle over N" proofmark on the right-rear of the slide, the barrel, and the frame.

Look for the eagle over the N proof marks. There were only 3000 .40 caliber American made slides and barrels. If you want the 9mm you have nothing to worry about.

I just got the P99 in 9mm tonight so I guess I don't have anything to worry about. I haven't shot it yet but if it shoots as good as it looks there shouldn't be any problems. I think I'm going to have to get a matching one in .40 cal.
