Walther P5 question

I have trying to get an answer for this for a long time.
Can I safely shoot +P loads in my Walther P5???
I know that the Europians load their ammo hotter than here in the states, so how about it. Anybody know????

Good question.
I have fed my P5 a magazine or 2 of Speer 124 +p Gold Dots, without any adverse side effects.
Like anything else I shoot +p just enough to check reliability, and very occasionally after that for grins and giggles.
I stick to 115 ball for 90% of my shooting.
Shoot Earl an email and ask him.

denfoote, yes you can shoot +p's in your P-5 it was designed for nato ammo which is +P. I put 8lb wolf springs in my P-5 and have shot Winchester 127 +P+ without any problems. I shoot the 147 Talon rounds in all my guns now, I like the deeper penetration and the Walther eats the 147 up just fine, no problems at all. I have a very good P-5 it shoot point of aim without any problems with any ammo I use.
