Mine has the long barrel, all I have seen for sale in fact. I hear that some short barrels, not guns with short barrels, came in and sold out. There is a second shipment expected.
I was told by Earl's Repair Service, authorized Walther warranty & repair center, that the short barrel version cannot be imported as it is too lightweight to meet import specs. I suggested a fix for that problem that seemed to intrigue him, he may have passed it on to his factory contacts. In the meantime, buy the long version, swap the barrel yourself. As far as I know, it's the only way to get the short barrel at the moment. That's what I did with mine.
