Walther Model 4 (gun of the day)

Here's a nice Walther from quite a while back. :) No, I didn't reverse the picture, it really ejects to the left!

Now, if I could just find a recoil spring bushing for it, it would be a complete gun! :) You shouldn't be able to see the spring, but the bushing is missing...

John,
You beat me to it. I was looking at the picture this morning thinking that it was odd that the recoil spring was exposed like that, then I scrolled down and saw your post. Hope you find a bushing.

That's an earlier example too, with the wide slide serations. Mine is a much later one.

You might try Gun Parts Corp. for the bushing. They do list the Model 4 in their catalog. It was one of the most widely produced pre-war Walthers.

I found a bushing at an obscure gun parts place that the folks at the Walther site directed me to. It's a complete gun again. :D FWIW, Gun Parts didn't have any stock on them...

Do you mind sharing the name of that parts source? I picked up
a Model 4 at the gun show this past weekend and it needs a
set of grips.

I called Earl's yesterday, and all he has are "collector grade"
grips for $85. Since this particular example has almost no finish
left, I can't bear spending that much for grips.

It's a fun little heater, and I was surprised at how accurate it
was at 25 feet.
