Walther 1911 .45 ACP magazine?

CDNN is again running adds for such a product and I am failing to see the connection between Walther and .45 caliber 1911 magazines. That is because Walther is one of the few companies not making a 1911 :D

Yeah, there is a .22 with the Walther name on it. Not part of this discussion.

One clue may be that the advertisement says "Regent 1911-A1". It seems that the Regent brand was or is made in Turkey (where I am typing this). So maybe Walther bought a bunch of the magazines made for Regent and then sold them to CDNN.

Does anybody actually know the story?

I think Walther has mec-gar make most of their magazines. I would avoid these personally. They probably are not made by Walther and are probably are not made by mec-gar.

I'd think that they're .22 mags, and someone had "1911" on the brain when writing the ad copy and mistakenly indicated .45. Or not.

Dang!!! Had me all atwitter for a new 1911 manufacturer!

I was wondering what strange and wonderous things Walther would do with a 1911.
