I have been swaping out my Harris off my Ruger 77/17 to my marlin 60ss for backyard fun with my 2 daughters. Anyone have the Winchester?

I have three of those (made in China) Winchester bi-pods. One gets switched back and forth on a 10/22 and a Saiga, one on a .223 NEF Handi rifle, and one on a 7mmSTW Remington 700. The one on the 7mmSTW takes a beating recoil wise, and it’s holding up just fine. I would guess being dedicated on a .22LR, these China made bi-pods would last, oh, 40-50 years. :D

I agree with Mike. I've seen people using them and they seem to like them. I'm not being a snob or anything saying I have Harris bipods. I just bought them years ago and they're still holding up. I've looked closely at the one in WalMart and they look like they'd get the job done just fine. When WalMart first got them in, they were selling them for twenty bucks and a lot of shooters got them. I haven't heard any complaining yet. Even at fourty bucks they look like a good deal. A new Harris runs around a hundred or so.

Thanks! I thought they should be ok for .22. I like to save $$$ if I can. The savings would buy some .45 for the 1911:)

I'll probably put one on my Savage 22mag. That's why I was looking recently. I don't need to spend a hundred bucks for another one either.

I have one on my Rem 700 VLS .22-250 (Heavy) and it works great. Very stable and the twist lock legs are nice.

I will Probably Use it on my 700 chambered in 7mm Mag as well. Or i might just buy another one just for it.

We have three of them on bolt actions, and while I'll readily admit I've never owned a Harris, I can't imagine why I'd need to.

It's stable, period. I don't need anything else from a bipod.

Amazon has them for half the price.

Which one specifically? I don't see the "Winchester" brand on Amazon for 1/2 the price. I see it at Walmart.com for $40. I'm interested in getting a bi-pod for my Savage MkII BVT.

ive got one on my 308 tikka t3. you gotta keep an eye on the screws on the legs but other than that it seems ok. i will probably swap it to my 22 rifle though and get a harris soon to replace it

The "Winchester" brand bipods at Walmart are actually Shooter's Ridge bipods.
I've got several :) Great stuff, no complaints...and I honestly can't tell the diff between them & my Harris...

Why the re-branding?? I dunno...SR does it a LOT...
kind of like how old gun MFR's used to rebrand their stuff SEARS or KMART instead of Marlin or Savage...

Well, I went to WW and got the Winchester bipod today. Other tham my Harris legs are spring loaded to retrack back up, I can't tell the difference. In the last month, I added a new Mueller APV, Leapers accushot 1-piece mount and rings, bipod and did a DIY trigger job. My 1993 60ss looks and shoots great.:)

I agree...while not owning a Harris, I've compared them side by side and don't notice a huge difference. In other threads, some throw out broad, 'kitchen sink' arguments that clones are junk...that's easy to say, but most apparently find it hard to explain the difference. I personnally would want to say the same thing if I spent 2-3 times more than necessary too.

Still would like to know where the 1/2 price winchester bipod amazon deal is...can't find it. A link would be nice!

I have both brands and the only way I can tell the difference is one is a short and the other is a long version.
