I went to WW to pickup a couple Winchester White Box 9mm ($19/100rd) and the guy told me they were out and that when he called the warehouse, they were out too. So we're "chewing the fat" a little and finally he says to "hangon a minute"; goes to the back and returns with a case of 9's. Says he's saving them for a buddy but I can have two boxes!

I would file a report with the store manager, but i don't think it will do much good. What you may want to do is file a complaint at the home office.I have seen it time and time again where store workers have either held stuff back for themselves or others. In the store i work at i have seen it so much that i have started putting stuff back on the shelves that i see even trying to be hidden.Back before christmas i found a tool chest that was being held in the back with a managers name on it,i gently removed the name and it was sold about an hour later:D.The rule is if i can't do then they can't do it.Alot of time the stuff i find is stuff that people know is going on sale and will hold it back till it does.
Here is something else you can do that will make em mad, tell them to get a telzon and scan the label of the item you want, ask them to show you what the screen says.the last thing you will see at the bottem of screen is how many are on hand.If it says 0 then there isn't any on hand,if there is any other number, then that is what they have on hand.Make them look:eek::D

I would like to know where you found that value box for $19. That is about what it used to be at my walmart (a couple of years ago) now the same box is like $23 or $24. Damned inflation. and it will only get worse when obomya gets into office:mad:

The guys at Wally told me that they had no idea when and this is significant "if" they would get a restock from their warehouse. When I questioned the "If" he looked a little funny and said he had just had a senior moment.

I won't buy guns or ammo from WW. I had a machine gun shoot to go to. I brought some coworkers with me. We hit every shop between where we were and where we were going. We get to WW in Portland Or. and the 20 year old with us CAN buy 9mm ammo but not .45. The reason given is 9mm ammo also fits in rifles. So why can't she but the .45ACP? It is not a rifle round. I ask the salesperson to turn around and look at the Ruger Patrol Carbine behind him in .45ACP. And say whats that? He says the computer makes him ask and he can't override the computer. SCREW WW!!!!
