GUN-GRABBERS ARE PRESSURING WAL-MART -
AGAIN

Though just recently Wal-Mart indicated to us that
they were not  considering dropping their line of firearms and ammo,
it seems that  the gun-grabbers are still bringing down a lot of
pressure on the  organization to do so.

 Wal-Mart
is currently keeping score of the opinions of their
 customers
concerning their firearm sales policy. Apparently, Wal-Mart  is more
than willing to resist the anti-gun forces; but they would  like to
have some documented support from their shoppers and law-  abiding
firearm owners.

You can register your opinion with them by
calling their Customer  Service Relations Department at
1-800-925-6278. Voice your opposition  to this anti-gun pressure
now. Be sure to give them your name and  address for their record of
pro-gun customers.

You can also voice your opinion via e-mail. Their website
is
www.walmart.com. Click on the Customer Service icon, fill
in the  appropriate blanks, select the category "Questions
about Wal-Mart ", and send a short message supporting their sales
policy on  firearms and ammo.

 We must
be as persistent as the anti's are when it comes to speaking  up for
our rights. If we don't do it, we lose! It's that
simple.

All Wal-Mart needs is a sizeable response from
caring gun owners to give them the ammo they need to stand tough against
our foes. We can  help them do that, can't we?

Please pass this information on to other
sportsmen and pro-gun  people.

 ...AND
DON'T FOR GET TO VOTE ON NOVEMBER 7TH!

Thanks for the alert, Tommy Gun. I sent them an e-mail.

They just got an email from me telling them how much I spend there every other week and how they won't get another penny of mine should they decide to remove firearms and ammunition from their shelves.

Well considering that Wal-Mart has driven nearly all the gun shops around here into the ground, I'm not seeing the tragedy in them not selling guns anymore. They sell guns cheap enough so no one can compete with them, but they don't offer the variety of accessories of a gunshop, so you still have to use mail order for simple things you used to be able to get like sandbags or Win. 94 scope mounts. Oh, and don't forget they don't carry handguns, and not because it was ever a problem, but because they caved to the anti-gunners.

Of course, none of this matters, because if they did have what you wanted, the freckle-faced doofus behind the counter wouldn't know what half of it even was.
Yesterday, I was looking for some Weaver-style low scope rings for my 30-30. I asked the counterman for them.
"What type of gun do you have?" he asked.
"Well, it's a Win. 94AE 30-30, but I have already installed Weaver bases, so I just need the rings."
"Oh no," he said, "I don't have anything but the Weaver See-thru mounts for that gun."
"Huh? Like I said, I don't need MOUNTS, just RINGS, any Weaver rings over there?"
"Oh no, that won't work. You have to use the see-thru mounts, that's all I have for the Win. 94AE."

Sigh. And I'm a newbie to rifles!

Ironically, as he said this, I was looking right at some Tasco Weaver-style rings. I pretended to look around for a few minutes, then picked up those rings and he rang me up without comment.

I buy a lot of things from Wal-Mart, but I'm looking forward to them stopping gun sales so some gun shops will open back up around here.

Sure you pay more at a gunshop. But guess what, you were paying for little extras, like the dealer's experience and knowledge in the event that you didn't know what you were doing. If something goes wrong with the product you bought, you could expect him to help you figure it out, maybe even gunsmith on it. And he knew what accessories that you might want, and kept them on hand.

Screw Wal-Mart.

How can I give them my money? THEY HAVE A MONOPOLY here. Like I said, they've driven most of the small businesses away here in my small town, and now THEY are the only place to shop. So I really don't have much choice where I spend my money, do I! What I'm telling you is, the ONLY THING HERE IS WAL-MART!

Hey guys, called them yesterday. Spoke too one of there Reps, It's all B.S. No plans in getting out Ammo, or Guns sales!

Grapeshot, I can understand your irritation at WalMart for running small shops out of business. But why let the anti's win? The big chain stores are putting tremendous pressure on mom and pop hardware stores, grocery stores and so on. At least this is a big chain that hasn't yet caved in. _Yet._ But they will if we let them.

I'm calling, even though I don't shop there.
