So a friend of mine asked to trade me some loaded ammo for empty brass, 223/556. He asked how much brass for XX amount of ammo. Said Id look up what used brass is going for. Poking around I thought Id check out etsy. My wife sells her body products on there, other folks run small businesses off etsy, maybe I can help some one out. Find my prices Im looking for, see 44mag...Squirrel! Always on the hunt for 44mag brass! The guy is charging .30 for dirty range brass.....starline is .20 a round.......am I missing something???

The guy wanting more for used brass must like his a lot.
Must have an emotional attachment to it.
But seriously, folks often price their used stiff according to what it cost them new, not what their old beat up stuff could actually sell for.
A common occurrence at garage sales.
Best to just ignore them and move on.

He can ask anything he wants. The question is who will actually buy it.

I have a LGS that sells clean, unprimed 44mag for around $0.10.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time and that can make for a profitable quarter."

Quote from an MBA 'friend' of mine.

"Asking" and "Getting" are two different animals.............

It's always easier for a seller to lower his price than it is for him to raise it.
