MO Gun Rights activists:
We are attempting to organize a rally for the October 17 presidential
debates at Washington University in St. Louis.
The goal is to get at least 50-75 people representing about 5 different gun
rights organizations.
This will be a peaceful demonstration. All participants will be instructed
to be on their best behavior regardless of what any oposition who may be
present may say or do. Only designated representatives will speak to the
media.
Wear any identifying clothing pertaining to gun rights organizations,
however please refrain from any clothing with offensive wording, i.e. "Kill
em all let God sort em out", etc. More appropriate clothing would be GOA
"It's a right not a priviledge", or JPFO "Gun control = people control", or
NRA "what part of shall not be infringed don't you understand", etc. You may
bring signs or flags meeting the above criteria, or signs will be provided.
If we get the people, we will meet in Forest Park around 5:30 so we can
assemble by 6:00.
Your presence would be greatly appreciated, and you may bring anyone with
you who would like to attend, including manageable children. However, please
instruct anyone you may bring as to the above mentioned guidelines. We, gun
owners, are already a target for negative media and press, we don't need to
give them any ammunition (pun intended).
If you plan to attend, please contact me via e-mail, or P.O. box 27882 St.
Louis, Mo. 63146 by October 14. If we get enough people, more information
will be available October 15.
