WHAT:
Come learn and use a suppressor (aka silencer or also called a "can"). We'll have vendors and privately owned suppressors for demo. Shoot and hear the difference and talk to folks on "How To" and what to get.

Forget the movies... actually hear for youself what real suppressor's sound like and shoot some too!

Note: Come early and watch the USPSA Area 1 Championship Match in the Action Bays from 9-5pm
Area 1

All Non Members of RF&GC: Please check in with the Shotgun Club House (Main club house as you enter the Club). Pay the range fee ($12) and proceed to the rifle and pistol ranges.

FYI: Parking will be limited so you may have to walk to the ranges. We'll have signs. While you walk stop by the USPSA Championship match and see what they do here at Renton Fish and Game... Ear and eye protection is required. Non members please make sure you sign a waiver. Waivers are available online at The domain name RFGC.COM.

If you have any questions please contact me via Shoot On The Move

Also I will update this thread to include what vendors and what items they will be tentatively bringing to the shoot.

All updates will be posted to this thread at WaGuns.org - View topic - Suppressor Shoot at Renton Fish and Game Club July 24, 2011

Please also know that there will be a suppressor shoot on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Kitsap Rifle and Revolver. WaGuns.org - View topic - Western WA KRRC Silencer Shoot

HB 1016 takes effect on Friday, July 22, 2011. Please check with your range if they will allow suppressor use as each facility will have to come to terms on how to deal with this "new accessory."

At Renton Fish and Game Club - you are good to go (for legally owned....)

I won't be able to make this shoot as I work on Sundays. But I hope the event is a success none the less.

Is the Renton F&G range still in the same place it was +20 years ago? I used to target sight my rifles there plus shoot IPSC.

Pretty interesting to see house lights a mere 100 yards or so just to the right of one of the ranges at night while practicing IPSC shooting. Lot of good shooting memories there.

Thanks,

Lat I heard, they were going to put berms up, I seem to recall a fund raiser about the time I left the PNW. Did it ever happen?

Sorry for the hijack!

No hijack apology needed.

Not sure what it was like when you were here. There is 7 action bays dug in between the rifle/pistol range and the clay mountains (skeet). The rifle range has 2 "levels" of distance (honestly, I have never used the rifle range because of the 1 round in a mag at a time rule), and I know they are still planning on a 300 yard range.

Berms and more...

So, since I don't know you and when PNW etc... when did you leave RF&GC?

The action bays are all in use by USPSA (ISPC) and IDPA, Cowboy, etc... at Renton Fish and Game www.rfgc.org

Clarification on the USPSA shoot - it's a NWS Championship (I had mispprinted AREA 1 which is down in Albany, OR).

For those that can't make Sunday... go Saturday to the Kitsap Rifle and Revolver. See the link to find more info on the website at WaGuns!

Keep updated folks we're adding something new almost week. We now will have a BBQ (food) and more vendors showing off their "toys" :)

Getting close...

Alright folks... it's almost go time

Bumping thread to top!

Get ready and put it on your calendar! I mean for the price of a range fee - test shoot some suppressors (aka silencers).

We'll have a 300 BLK (AAC Blackout) with a Silencerco suppressor (very sweet!).

Vendors are:

Ortwein International
http://www.ortweinintl.com

Cascade Arsenal
http://www.cascadearsenal.com

Gem-Tech
http://www.gem-tech.com

Silencerco
http://www.silencerco.com

And Attorneys
Keith http://www.WoodinvilleLaw.com and Dennis http://www.brislawnlofton.com

AAC just let us know that a rep will be at the shoot as well!!! That puts Gemtech, AAC and Silencerco as the current mfg's who will be in attendance and with toys for people to play with. Coctailer (Ortwein International) and Chip (Cascade Arsenal) will be 2 of the SOT's there as well.

A few vendors told me they were interested in the Saturday silencer shoot at KRRC, but I have not heard from them for a while, so I am not expecting them to show. I might have to go to the Sunday shoot in Renton.
