Vyper,
I went to Walmart and picked up a white bottle of enamel paint that is used on models for a whopping $1.05.
I just finished playing around with it using a toothpick to paint with and I learned that you cannot paint the silver rings set into the sights. They are to thin and the paint runs onto the glowing part of the sights. So what I did is paint a thin circle around the sight on front. On the back sight a circle cannot be done due to the design of the sight. So what I did is paint on a vertical line on the inner part of each sight. It actually doesn't look to bad. I might scrape the paint off of the rear sights. With the paint on just the front sight it really draws my eye to it when I bring the gun up. I'll see how it does on the range but I think this will work and be a cheap alternative to replacing the sights.
I would recommend that you give it a try. Since you have a nickle slide I would probably try red or orange, I think that would be easier to see.
