Great, old doubles are fun, and many of them are still good, safe occasional shooters with proper ammo.
One guy I know from the Geezer Squad shoots skeet with an old hammer 12, a hardware store gun with cheap steel bbls. His load is 7/8 oz of 9s, pressures are quite low, but they break the birds nicely. He says he may try them on quail with 8 1/2s, but I'm not holding my breath waiting....
