Subject: Vermont Gun Control Legislation

>The Vermont Legislature is back in session. We too often find ourselves
>reacting to antigun and anti-sportsmen and women bills. This session
>let's be proactive and let House Judiciary Chairwoman Peg Flory of
>Pittsford know we oppose gun control legislation.
>
>We must be prepared for the politicians to tell us this is crime control.
>The problems being that most of these gun control bills are broadly
>written and based upon legislation in other states. In addition,
>with our EXTREMELY ambitious Vermont Supreme Court we
>cannot afford to have them interpreting gun control laws.
>
>Therefore, we have to make it clear to our politicians that the feds
>have many gun laws, several large agencies with big budgets to
>deal with criminals with guns. NO Gun Laws and if they have any
>respect for the hundred thousand plus honest gun owners in
>Vermont they would not even consider such legislation without
>at least first consulting the gun and hunting sports rights folks
>of this state. I suggest you be short and very polite in your message.
>
>I urge you to contact House Judiciary Committee Chairwoman
>Peg Flory and relating to her NO New Gun Laws! She can be
>contacted at 1-800-322-5616 and leaving a message with the
>Sergeant-at-Arms.
>
>You can also contact her by E-mail and if you do so you might
>as well send it to all three of the E-mail addresses listed:
>sgtatarms@leg.state.vt.us or you can E-mail her directly at the state house
>at: pflory@leg.state.vt.us
>or at her residence at: RP3229@aol.com
>
>The other members of the House Judiciary Committee are listed
>below and you can contact them by the same method. I also
>urge you to contact any of them who you know and/or whose
>district includes your town. Clubs and ranges contacting them
>is MOST effective. Evan

How about just "NO NEW LAWS!!!" I mean how many friggin laws do we need on the Books??? Arent there already like 5billion laws??? I think they COVER EVERY POSSIBLE crimial act that can be imagined! The new laws only make criminals out of what would otherwise be a moral and legal act.

Doesn't bother the law-makers here in the Peoples Democraftic Republic of Massachusetts. Just weeks after McDermott killed seven co-workers, there are a raft of new anti-gun laws coming from two of the country's most vile gun-grabbers. Of course, McDermott broke about a dozen laws in committing his crimes, but you and I know that doesn't matter. Gun-grabbers watch TV, red-eyed, drooling, hunched forward, lips moving in silent prayer, hoping for another gun-related death. They can then advance their goal of making gun ownership illegal. Every McDermott-style massacre brings huge grins to their faces (in private, of course. Must look sad for the masses). The fact that PDRMa laws disarmed all of McDermott's coworkers is resolutely ignored by all the media. The next raft of new gun laws is rumored to start confiscation. Just magazines first, of course, so as not to create too big a stink. I have already heard that some gun owners will bury their weapons and accessories rather than turn them over. Over half of all private firearms have been owned for so long that the government has no knowledge of them. How did we arrive at such a pitiful state?
