Dear Vote.com Voter,

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda said, “I will go to my grave regretting the
photograph of me in an antiaircraft carrier,” referring to the controversial picture where she stood
atop a Vietcong gun. Vietnam Veterans and others have reacted to this latest statement with
skepticism, noting Fonda has apologized for select wartime actions in the past, but has never atoned
completely for what many see as treason.

Jane Fonda’s apology on North Vietnam: Too little, too late?

Vote.com has just launched an online referendum asking that question. When you vote, we'll e-mail
Jane Fonda and the Vietnam Veterans of America to them know how you feel.

and its efficiency is only marred by the difficulty of finding twelve men

Note ye well: she regrets the photo, not her actions. Possibly an innocent slip o' the tongue, but IMNSFHO, probably not. Too much like Clinton saying he regrets being caught banging Monica.

Jane, I was a wee child when you went to Viet Nam and had no personal stake in the war. I still consider you to be an evil beldame who should be staked.

Nothing personal.

Nikita Khrushchev predicted confidently in a speech in Bucharest, Rumania on June 19, 1962 that: " The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag...the American people will hoist it themselves."

Coinneach, my thoughts too, her regrets are for the photo being taken, not her being a treasonist, elitest Socialcrat. May she suffer at the inner rings of hell.

Tell me about it! Considering that:
1. I am originally from South Vietnam
2. My father served as an officer in the South Vietnamese army. Hell, that cannon could've killed him for all I know!

The best comment I ever saw on Hanoi Jane was her picture labled Hanoi Jane on the cake of deoderizer in the bottom of a urinal.

Like many others (~80 percent, in this pole), I will NEVER forgive Ms. Fonda, nor can I ever forget her treason.

I'd also taken the plunge to vote. Went over to the chat page for this.
Seems there were a few supporters for her.
Don't know if they were atlethic or not, didn't ask. They were suppoerters in the context that she's still American, like it or not, etc...

She's an elitist. I'd read once where there was a supposed breakin, or attempt on her and Teddy's property, and she met the LEO there with a handgun. If I recall the situation correctly, she was asked why she was armed, when she was so vocal against guns, particularly handguns. Her response, was something like, "That's for them". I can only surmise that means you and I. Even though you and I weren't snooping about her property like poperatzzi..

Best Regards,
Don

The most foolish mistake we could make would be to allow the subjected people to carry arms;
History shows that all conquerers who have allowed their subjected people to carry arms have prepared their own fall.

Get control of all means of publicity, and thereby get the peoples' mind off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and plays, and other trivialities.
Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance."

Can anyone provide verification of this? I've heard of the incident, but never heard of her comment.

Thanks

It's NEVER too late to apologize. (Expecting people to care that you've apologized is another matter, of course.) My problem with THIS apology is that, if she really thinks this is all she has to apologize for, or even the worst of it... well, de nile isn't just a river in Egypt, if you get my drift.

Hanoi Jane (Fonda) has worse mark on her than Cain ever did. She had best try to set things right with those she betrayed. I don't think she's got it in her to even try.
