1) Vote for Gore, and infinitessimally increase the chance we will hasten our slide into tyranny and civil war.

Who better to fight it now, before it gets worse? You think the new generation of kids will fight any civil war, if it becomes nesessary?

Not a chance!

In most cases the younger generation could care less.

No, They are too well brainwashed in school studying non-subjects and too drugged up on ritalin, sex and Rock to care anything about liberty or freedom, nor know much about it.

They are being conditioned to be good slaves of the State as we write.

2) Vote for Bush, and infinitessimally increase the chance we'll put off the tyranny for a couple of years, maybe.
There you go again :)

You use the term "Put off".

We already have a form tyranny, it simply has been such a slow process that very few see it for what it is. Most who point it out are called "kooks".

So, you seem to indicate that you areb aware that the tyranny of a new world order is coming down the pike sooner, rather then later?

Then what do you people, voting for Bush, think you are accomplishing by voting for the "lesser of two evils"?

quote:

3) Vote for the third party candidate who most closely reflects ones' views, and refuse to sanction either sub-division of the New World Order, or to be held hostage to the lesser-of-two-evils strategy. And whatever's going to happen is going to happen anyway.

Lousy choices, but there they are.
Not really any real choices here, but a small delaying action will avail, I suppose.

The results will be the same.

Global Totalitarianism.

I have stayed out of these threads for the sake of The Firing Line, but this kind of garbage is going too far. Anyone who is advocates Civil War or violence can only be a severely misguided individual or a troll working for the other side who is only trying to make gun owners look bad. I honestly believe that Randy Davis qualifies as the latter. Every since he has come here he has tried to divide us. There are some sincere folks who cannot vote for Bush this November like Dennis because of their conscience, but Randy Davis is not one of them!

With GOA "F" rated Lieberman now on Gore's ticket, it is even MORE important that Bush win. Now is not the time to make statements or to play with fire. Way too much is at stake.

Joe

This thread could have been titled "...Part 222."

Don't believe me? Do a search on the word "libertarian" and see if you don't get 200 responses. I got 31 hits in just the past 30 days!

If the "third party" discussion is to continue, we've all got to keep it above the belt. Try and remember that you're probably not going to convert anybody to "your side." One thing that we're not short of around here is strongly held opinions. :)

If you can't read these threads without getting seriously ticked-off, then maybe you shouldn't read them. If you can't post to these threads without seriously pushing the rules of the forum, then don't post to them! For you own good and for the good of TFL...

Randy, if you are one of those who still believe that our young people are being "drugged up" by "Rock" music, you need to get out more. The 1950s have been over for a long time now.

I hang my head in shame when admitting that I voted for Perot in '92. I was thus one of the people who elected Clinton. Perot took so many votes from Bush that Clinton won.

We need not make that mistake again. We dare not. Protest votes only decrease the chances of winning.

I've said this before, I'll say it again, I didn't vote for Bush or Dole or Clinton. Yet I had no effect on the election. Both Bush and Dole won in my state and lost the overall election. I repeat myself, a vote for third party isn't always a vote for enemies of the 2nd.

However most of us can't help but have dreams of getting a better Supreme Court and also having a small chance at upholding some of the sunsetting gun control laws.

And what kind of garbage would that be, Joe?

Oh, I see, you don't like seeing the truth stare you in the face, so you cover your backside with the old "going too far" extremist line.

That's always the ploy, used by either the Right or the Left, when attempting to portray a perceived nemesis as "too far out" , isn't it?

BTW, Joe, why do you not seem to have the courage to address me directly, sir ?

I am a fellow gun owner, just like you, living in Kalifornia, where millions of gun owners will not be submitting to any government registration of thier so-called assault weapons, come Jan. 1, 2001 :D

Are you saying that they should?

I am not advocating civil war, but preparedness, for any dire outcome that my befall this nation, if tyranny reigns.

Here is what I did write, Joe:

"Who better to fight it now, before it gets worse? You think the new generation of kids will fight any civil war, if it becomes necessary?"

Why did you leave that out of the quote, Joe? Do _you_ have an agenda or something?

I thought so :).

You, sir, have NO idea what you are talking about. I am on the side of liberty, like you are, but I take a different road, that is so.

FYI, I was a Republican for many years and I voted for Bob Dole in 1996, but I have had my epiphany in that regards. I will no longer support statists like the Bush family, Republican or not.

Unlike you backsteppers at the NRA, once I know what I have to do, what the right thing to do is for those who come after me, I don't back down.

Ever.

Ah contraire', Joe. Now is the most opportune time to vote third party.

Besides, if not now, when ?

Play with fire? What do YOU propose , Joe?

Keep placating the left-wing gun grabbers with your NRA sell-out schemes, like you have for 32 years, since the Gun Control Act of 1968?

If that is the case, I have some bad news for you, Joe:

That just isn't going to work any longer.

We are operating under a new paradigm, and people like you had best figure that out soon or we are all in for some real "interesting times" that none of us are going to enjoy very much; Bush or Gore it will only be a matter of time before our rights are completely gone.
