When I voted, we were winning 527 (no) to 157 (yes) - 77%.

The gap is getting even bigger.
When the "assault" rifle ban was first passed, those types of guns were still relatively rare, as compared to all the rest.
Now they are one of the most popular designs of all, right down to the .22 versions and airguns.
It's a different world.
