Volquartsen Bedding System Ruger 10/22

Just playing with incremental improvements to the Lipseys 11165 variation of the 10/22, which is basically a "clean" version devoid of all the tacticool bells & whistles.

First thing I did was replace the trigger with a 2-stage 1.25+1.25lb unit that is slick as a whistle; find out that they mean it when they say 15 in-lbs on the stock/action screw; installed a thin (0.012") paper shim at the fore end to control harmonics, played with various ammunition types (it really likes CCI Std Velocity and (oddly-enough) high-velocity bulk Rem Thunderbolt; and was about to go the next round in cleaning up the stock/action interface.

Volquartsen makes a very simple "pillar" insert for that interface, and also gives you a movable pad/shim to find the best barrel harmonic shim point.

Anyone have any experience with this (fairly simple) fix?
