You have to put the hammer in half cock , so that the cylinder will turn . Then push in on the pin that is on the side of the frame in front of the cylinder . While holding in the pin , pull the rod out . Then you can rotate the cylinder out the right side .
It is harder putting it back . Pay attention to the length of the rod before you pull it out . It has two notches in it and most likely you will push it in to far when you reinstall it . That is another safety .
