Hmmm, so the Aussie gov't has used $319,833,727.00 (That's 319 million,...) to buy back firearms, many of which are still legal to buy/sell, which will have an effect of increasing crime, have zero positive effects (except some warm fuzzy feelings), and flush money down the toilet because the guns were not resold somewhere for their market value. Yeah, real great use of taxpayer money. If that same money had been used to increase investigations, increase arrest rates, etc., for violent offenses, it could have done enormous good for the country in reducing crime.

Compared with what socialists govts. usually spend to increase warm and fuzzies, 300 million is pretty cheap.
