Katie Couric just lobs up the easy questions. I did not see Shamu on the defensive at all.

Couric was not on the attack, but she actually brought up the fact that private citizens may want to have firearms to protect themselves the way Rosie's bodyguard is protecting her.

Rosie's response was how we would turn into the "wild west" and I thought she behaved as if Couric caught her off guard.

Couric also hit her with the "do you have, or have you ever had, armed guards on your premises?", and Rosie backpedalled and doubletalked her way around the question before answering it. I was mad that Couric didn't challenge her "12 kids a day" B.S., but oh well...

Sure, LaPierre or Pratt would have done better. But it's all we've got for now.
