Reporting from Chicago where the Mayor Daley, Anti-Gun rally was held today. The City Bussed in approximately 600 Students from grade schools and Junior Highs to bolster the numbers at the event along with hundreds of City employees that were told to be there. I was among the approxiamtely 75 people that was there fighting for freedom at the rally. though our numbers were less with the help of SAS, Chicago Libertarian Party, and a brave suburban Christian High School, we were able to mount an effective WIN for FREEDOM! Approximately 50 students from Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights suprised everyone by fighting for our and THEIR freedom! The Students Immediately made their presence known by comming from around the corner wit their signs and youthful enthusiasm and immediately caused the Chicago Police to have to react an move them to the 'PEN' that was erected for the freedom fighters. Our voices WERE heard! We effectively prevented the speakers from getting their message of more legislation out - We could not hear them as we were too LOUD! - We even had a lady from the back of the crowd to tell us to be quiet as she could not hear the speakers! When Mayor Daley came to the Mic we erupted in a mass of noise. There wasn't anyone that could hear what he had to say! I enjoyed it when a fellow freedom fighter called the Mayor a 'Fat Bastard', I was hoping to see if one of the many police that were guarding us would burst out in laughter as we all did.
In this morning's Chicago Tribune, Mayor Daley had this to say, "All of us should stand together to prevent another killing and another injury, and that's what this rally does today," Daley told the crowd.
"Those that have a difference of opinion should hold their own rallies."
Guys we did great, and Mayor Daley KNEW we were there. I hope that fool starts to get an incling of how the REST of the people in Illinois feel!
VOTE - we CAN make a difference.
