Just started shooting a Bisley Vaquero I bought a few months back. Stainless, .44 mag., 5.5" inch barrel, dark rosewood grips.
I cannot be more pleased with it!
I'm a range officer and have owned and shot just about everything ever made. I've got Pythons and lots of S&W's. Liked the look and feel of the Bisley Vaquero, so I bought one.
Fairly nice overall finish. OK, a few noticeable machine marks on the metal finish in some areas of the trigger guard (nit picking here), but nothing that a little 600 grit and some polishing couldn't correct with little effort. I did not expect Colt Python workmanship for $375.
Twelve grains of Alliant 2400 and a hard cast moly dipped 240 grain SWC. Sights are right on for this load at 15 yards. Literally knocked the 10 ring out today, with no flyer's, offhand.
For the money, and with a little final finishing on the metal, and some minor trigger polishing, this is one nice piece! Ordered another in .45 Colt today.
Just wanted to tip my hat to the folks at Ruger for a job well done, and an excellent value.
