I strongly recommend this book to anyone who thinks about firearms, defense, stopping power and the possibility of being in a shooting one day.

This book and the officers who tell their stories therein shows the reader what the use of firearms means in the real world.

The Role of the
Firearm in Personal
Protection

by: Massad F. Ayoob

It was written in 1980 so some of his discussion about firearm selection and ammo selection is dated...but the basic principles of the book still hold true. It's only 130 pages long and goes by very fast.

great!

I just got this book at the library last week because it looked interesting. I've got to get to reading it this weekend.
