While it's certainly nice to seek advice why does someone shooting a Perazzi relate to you seeking info on a Verona? Truth be told most high end gun owners will probably not recommend an mid level gun like the Verona.
They are decent guns for the money. Pick one up and compare it to the lower end Beretta or Browning. Wood finish probably won't be as good but you'll get more gun for the money that's equal in quality. I don't own any Verona's but I've shot several and they shoot fine. With the exception of the thread you started on SGW I've never heard of any problems with them. Gander Mountain is one of the largest Verona dealers and they have not had any issues with the guns. They are very popular in the upper midwest and get shot a lot without issue.
I have no idea what model you're looking at but to offer an example, compare the Verona 680 to a Beretta 686 or Browning 525. The wood won't be as nice out of the box, the bluing will be matte, but it has an equal fit and finish on metal parts, plus it comes with more options. It's about $700 cheaper than the Beretta and $1000 cheaper than the Browning. Plus it has a lifetime warranty.
The guns are actually made by Rizzini and they sell them under the F.A.I.R name. These aren't new cheapy guns, just newer to U.S. consumers.
EDIT: I just noticed you're asking about one of the nicer Verona models. Chances are the cosmetic finish will be equal to or better than the "B" guns. Some of them have incredible wood and nice bluing.
