When it comes to the VEPR II, all I know is that these are supposed to be "THE" Ak variant to buy. Any opinions from any owners? Which is the best model .223, 7.62x39, .308?
I had a 308 Vepr I. It was very reliable and shot reasonably well. Mine absolutely detested 168 gr match ammo. It shot "patterns" rather than "groups". Very disappointing. With 150gr FMJ ammo it did a lot better. I had a scope on mine. If I had only used iron sights I would have liked it better. A 1 MOA rifle it is not. Mine probably shot with about the same accuracy as a SKS. IMHO acceptable accuracy, but not in the league of an AR15. Best. Watch-Six
