VEPR II .223 Mags

A little bit more specifically, I'm pretty sure it takes the same magazines as the Romanian SAR in .223. You can email Robinson and ask, http://www.robarm.com. 30 round .223 AK magazines can be had for about fifteen dollars a piece, depending on where you look.
 
I talked to Robinson, they're 5.45 AK74 mags with new followers. The improved follower design is supposed to do away with 5.56 feed problems.
 
Handy is 100% on the target here. This is a good thing too. The 5.45 mags are cheaper than the 223 mags even considering the added cost of the $6 Robarms followers. I love my VEPRII in 223. I love the fact that there are tons of cheap mags out there =)
 
That's the ticket Gooch. Email me and we will talk about those followers if you like. The outfit I bought my VEPR from said they would get them for me at cost.

Does the Romanian SAR in .223 utilize standard AK-74 5.45mm magazines, or do they have their own seperate magazine? Just curious.
 
They have their own mags Nightcrawler. I have heard of people modifying 5.45 mags and making them work. You might want to check out AK-74.net as I think there is a how to post there somewhere.
